Welfare Drug-Testing Feature Story
This was a long-term feature piece I wrote on a bill proposed in the Missouri legislature which would require drug-testing for welfare recipients. This story examined the positions of both proponents of such legislation and opponents. The main subject in this piece is a single-mother who grew up on welfare, and could offer first-hand information on what her experiences were like.

Columbia Public Transit Feature story
This feature is about changes Columbia Public Transit made a major bus route in Columbia. I spent time interviewing and talking with regular bus riders, along with the Director of Public Transportation for Columbia. This story has great NAT sound, and highlights an important issue for many car-less community members: accessibility of transportation.
